Hi, I'm Jip de Greef
I'm a Dutch decathlete competing for the University of Illinois, focused on reaching the highest level of combined events. I’m constantly working to improve, compete, and see how far I can take the sport.
My journey is built on consistency, resilience, and a relentless drive to keep pushing for bigger goals, one step at a time . This site is where you can follow my career, explore my achievements, and connect.

Career Snapshot
Competing in multi-events is about solving the full puzzle - sprints, jumps, throws,
endurance, and the mental game that comes with it. Here are some of my proudest results so far and the milestones that shaped my career.

National Champion
These national titles were my first real breakthroughs in my athletics career, and opened my eyes for what could be.
International youth
competition debut in Europe
Debut on the European international stage, marking the beginning of my journey among the continent’s elite athletes.
Top-3 Dutch all-time Netherlands heptathion
The biggest breakthrough so far, putting my name in the top 3 best heptathlon scores of all time in the Netherlands.


NCAA 3rd place
Placed 3rd place at the NCAA national championships in the heptathlon, getting me my first NCAA trophy
First senior international
competition
Qualified for my first ever senior international competition at the European Championships in Birmingham
